I have a few downloaded mutators with UZ as the file extension. I looked around on the internet and was able to determine that this is an Unreal Tournament file of some type. What I don't know is how to use the file. Any ideas?

Have you downloaded those mutators from the right source? Maybe those are files you are supposed to put onto a redirect server. Yes you can decompress them, but maybe if you looked again you might find them in a .zip format somewhere else.

Agreed -- very good point. Unfortunately the files I was referring to were the only ones I could find -- tried all of the obvious sources and did extensive searches before I decided to work with the UZ file.

There you find quite lots of files, even the "trufflogo.u", something I don*t know when it was used on TrufF http://xtgs.nl/cache.php?action=showut

The site with the most UZ files is down so I cant give u the link :(
It was a great site. yoU could let the server connect (redirect) to that site and people would download hundreds of maps and skins and weapons from that site in compressed form instead to suck at the line of the server... I hope it comes up again.
