can anyone help me with my ping pls.
its 300 where as everone elses is 40-60.
and im getting loads of lagg,impossible to play,is this to do with the pingy thing?

im running on adsl,the problem only occured in the last 2 weeks.
i havnt installed anything extra (apps)i used to have a ping between 30 and 60then all of a sudden it went to 300 plus.

First of all, make sure you have no other unnecessary apps running in the background (p2p file sharing etc)

From your desktop click the 'Start' button > click 'Run' > type "cmd" (without the quotes) .
At the comand prompt, type " tracert 213.230.209.203 " (again without the quotes) That's the IP of the Crap & Ghey server/
When you get the Trace Complete message right click in the Command Prompt window & 'select all' then copy & paste the results here.

That will help tell us where your problem originates.

use spybot search and destroy and adaware se personal to sweep for spyware. you may also want to check for virus's

I have also been experiencing high pings on the Truff servers :( not really sure whats causing it but I'm looking into it. I'll post here if I manage to solve it. :)

It also helps if you're not living in my area where my ISP is testing out some beta-shit from sisco, that doesn't work. Result: overutilisation wich means my ping goes from 23 to 300+ and back again every 3 seconds :(

Only 7 hops but it gets really high at the 5th hop. It's the same on all truff servers, ping is always 300+ in the evening :x

Seems to me there is some kind of network problem over in the netherlands. I would suggest you guys pool together your info (maybe you all have the same ISP?)

I tried to see if I could find anything out, but since I don't speak dutch I didn't get very far with google... :/

I did get a ping spike from linx-gw0.enta.net, tho I'm not sure I know what this means...

Sing the ping thing song?

Just dropped my ADSL line from Demon and went back to cable. 2Mbit they said, all new fancy pants cable connection. True when I enter a server it all looks like before: ping 40 / 56

But when the going gets truff the cable wets itself and takes theconnection with it. I must say its been years since I saw a ping of 3200 on a UT server, 4 years ago when I stopped playing online to be exact. After years I finally dared to go back online, found this faboulous place and... well..... I guess its back to shooting my mouth off on the forums at least the lag is not gonna get me here :P

And none of my friends want to play with me on LAN ... boohoooo sooo sad!!!!!
