Hey guys

i have bin playin unreal for a mouth now, and still not sure how to any fancy moves or anyfin , i would be grateful if one has any suggestions

Is your question about how to do a "combo" ? If so, it's simple : select the shock rifle, shoot an energy ball and then shoot it with a beam. If you hit it correctly, it should explode.

other fancy moves you might see are called dodging - tapping any movement key twice quickly will move your player in that direction quicker.

the left/right keys show a sort of sideways lunge in that direction but forward shows a somersault.

playing on your own pc versus bots will help to perfect movement and shock combos.

Well .. I do have some super UT skills. I would normally charge £5 per hour - but you seem a nice fellow, so they're free !

hello there, i find which works for my personally is a front flip but as you are flipping you hold down either 1 of your side keys wich will you make you flip fowardly diaganol. I also like to jump after doint this as it gives a height to ramps etc.

Also i have found that BT (Bunny Tracks) are a good source for a newbie player, they are taxing but quite fun, go to nalicity.beyondunreal.com then seach in the UT maps for "BT-" this will load bt maps up, pick 1 and play....peaceful is a good one ;)

kk, some quick tips I often tell:

-shoot rockets at your enemy's feet. this way you can't miss, for the rocket will always explode near him

-don't jump to much. this will make you an easy target. (same goes for dodge)

-shoot at where your enemy is GOING to be....NOT where he is right now. If you shoot where he is right now he could run away. If you get some more experience you can kinda guess where he is going to be in a sec and shoot him :D

-avoiding the enemy's fire is way more important then shooting (imo). If you move correctely you will get a chance for a good shot and the enemy has a hard time hitting you.

-if you see a player called Davis: AHHHH RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And never, EVER stand still ! always try your best to keep moving. A target standing still is SO much easier to hit then a moving one!

I am really glad you've already found your way to the open servers, lots of people who are new tend to stick to the newbie server, but I think you've been a pretty decent player. Keep it up ! :D

If you absolutely gotta kill every mofo in the room, remember to cluster your rockets together ;)

simply hold down left mouse, then while the rockets are loading, hold down right mouse button, then let go of both buttons together. Congratulations! A tight knot of rockets!

1 more tip, never underestimate the power of splash damage..... weapons like the rocket launcher, shock rifle alt-fire and flak cannon alt-fire cause splash damage so even if they don't score a direct hit there is an area of effect for damage, this can be used for knocking people off the edge of walkways or even levels in some cases (DM-Morpheus is an excellent level to see this in action :D ) what's more, it feels kinda good to know that the person you killed couldn't quite manage to get away from your 1337 gaming skills :roll: :wink:

kk, some quick tips I often tell:

^^ important tip. when ive been introducing my mates to UT they always fire rockets straight at their oponents face, unless ur schonfelder this aint gonna happen ;) firing at the feet doesnt do as much damage as a rocket to the face but it makes your oponent lose control of his player making it pretty easy to finish him off with another rocket. Also try loading up 2-3 rockets but make sure you keep moving while you do :P

The easiest way to get a server onto your favourites is to do it manually.

1. Open up where ever you have your UT Folder,
2. Open the "System" folder,
3. Open your UnrealTournamtn.ini (This icon looks like a notepad with a orange cog on it),
4. Look for a headline which reads; [UBrowser.UBrowserFavoritesFact]

Mine looks like this;

onto the next space in your favourites list. (You should be ablt to copy and paste them)
6. Change the number of servers (Remember, the number 0 is counted!)

And hopefully you will have Truff's insta servers ready to play ! P.S. I find the CTF/JailBreak server more fun! :D
