Any wireless keyboard users out there experience lag when gaming online?

Thinking about getting one but definitily won't bother if it causes an ever so slightly hardly noticable delay (yes I'm a fussy bastard  )

I have a wireless mouse which I will never change coz it's great although I can swear it lags me out slightly, I'll accept this but not with a keyboard as well.

It was logitech I was looking at but I still won't buy wireless if it causes this microscopic minuscule itsy bitsy teeny weeny bit of lag.

I'd just go with wires all the way. I can't imagine anything worse than the batteries running out during the middle of a game or when the shops are shut! 8O

As a wise man once said: "You know where you are with wires." :)

Like you Sludgie, i use a wireless mouse...which my fella fondly calls "the Brick" . And i know it does cause a very short lag problem......but i also live with that.

After using a lollipop stick to keep my keyboard arrow keys goin for the last 4 months  i need to get a new one. I do feel that i need to keep that wired, just to keep lag at bay. But if anyone could answer ur question, id be curious to know

Hi Sludge m8 I use a full wireless setup with no lag the mouse is 1600 dpi go look at it at this address

its the 3rd one down the Arianet style if you read the users reports for this and the logitech version most people say this is better and more resposive.
btw I have had the microsoft wireless version which was very good also but had slight lag on the keyboard and the mouse is a bit big it may be right for you if you have hands on the large size
and if you purchase on line at arianet and you find it a tiny weeny bit laggy  you have 7 days to check it out and send it back if you want

With Xepha 100% here - wires!

I like good quality (ie, Microsoft or high end Logitech, not the cheapies) optical mice because they don't need cleaning and give consistency.

All the wireless optical mice I've used have been horrendous even in normal GUI use. Stop moving for 2 seconds and it goes into standby mode, batteries last 2 weeks or so, you can't turn them off completely (at least, not the three I've used). Pure frustration!

Wireless ball mice don't suffer from being wireless as much, but they're still balled. Some like that, but not for me. My microsoft optical mouse is five years old, wrapped in parcel tape, incredibly dirty and I've had to shorten the lead twice to overcome breaks - but it's *lovely*!

Any old wired keyboard though, as long as it's not a space-saver one with the cursor and home/end keys all scrunched up together. Had issues with wireless keyboards not being able to send multiple keypresses of 3 or more at the same time. (forward, left, jump - BEEP)

I use a wireless Logitech optical mouse and keyboard and don't experience any problems with lag. Believe me, I'd notice and stop playing if there was any lag at all.

I also have an high-end wireless logitech setup, and it works fine. The mouse doensn't go into standby mode at times it shouldn't and it doesn't lag at all.
The only bad thing about a wireless mouse is that it's just much heavier, and i do think that influences your playing..

And i _always_ have spare batteries when i run out of power during a game it takes me a superfast 5 seconds to change batteries 8)

however a friend of mine bought a cheap 40€ cordless from Thrust and it totally sucks, so buy good stuff.

that looks a bit like mine nelly, probably the model up though. mine work faultlessly though anyway. There really isn't any reason for there to be any (noticeable) lag.
